50 years after Ömer Seyfettin's death, Salim Nizam is an award-winning story and novel writer who says “I was born in Gonen”… I got to know his works from Ömer Seyfettin's short stories, especially “Köy Saatçiler”. His narrative of the object-human relationship and his narrative capturing the depth of emotion in this relationship drew my attention. He has many stories in this way, even a novel… Nowadays he is writing a novel about Ömer Seyfettin's life. He lives, raises students, writes and produces in the geography where Ömer Seyfettin was born and where his childhood, which is the subject of several of his stories. In a sense, it continues where Ömer Seyfettin left off. The land he lived in did not raise such a prolific writer for a long time, his pen should be strong and permanent.
